Umerkot Report Dr. M. Lal Vaghani Bureau Chief SSP Umerkot Uzair Ahmed (PSP) on special instructions of the police across the district, effective operations against drugs and Gutka/Mainpuri are underway. Today, the police of different police stations conducted several successful operations and recovered prohibited items from the accused.
Umerkot City Police recovered 35 packets (3850 puris) of Gutka brand “Safina” during the operation. A case has been registered and legal action is underway against the accused Ghulam Murtaza alias Babli. Police Station Kunri Police Station Kunri successfully arrested the accused Raja son of Kheta Ram Lohana from Ring Road Kunri and recovered 4 packets (440 puris) of “Royal King Gutka” and Rs. 300 in cash. A case has been registered against the accused.
Umerkot City Police Station (Special Operation) Police arrested two accused involved in kidnapping, Dilip Kumar son of Harchand Meghwar and Bhagwan Das son of Ranu Meghwar, who were wanted in case no. 197/2025 under Section 365B, PPC & 3/2 Trafficking in Persons Act 2018. 550 Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) Operations Taluka Umerkot Police Station and Kanri Police Station recovered two suspected motorcycles whose ownership could not be proved. • Taluka Umerkot Police Station recovered motorcycle CD-70 (Engine No. 8569224, Chassis No. CA-860418) worth Rs. 70,000.
The Kanri police station recovered a motorcycle CD-70 red color (engine number 1762779, chassis number AE-721690) worth Rs. 35,000. SSP Umerkot, while appreciating all the operations, expressed satisfaction with the performance of the officers and personnel and said that the police will continue to take vigorous action against drugs, gutka, mainpuri and criminal elements.
