Umerkot (Report Dr. M. Lal Vaghani Bureau Chief) Nand Kumar Gokulani won the Sindh Bar Council election from Umerkot. According to the details, the voting process for the election of members of the Sindh Bar Council was completed peacefully in Umerkot as well, in which 96 lawyers of the District Bar exercised their right to vote, while 9 lawyers could not vote. The polling at the polling station established in District Court Umerkot continued from 8 am to 5 pm without any break.
The entire voting process was supervised by three civil judges Sajjad Ahmed Chandio, Munir Ahmed Jagsi and Mushtaq Ahmed Rehman. Four candidates Nand Kumar Gokulani, Hashim Leghari, Mumtaz Jarwar and Altaf Hussain Junejo participated in the election. According to the initial results, Nand Kumar Gokulani, affiliated with the SITP panel, secured the first position by securing 63 votes and was declared successful.
In the contest, Altaf Hussain Junejo got 33 votes, Mumtaz Jarwar got 35 and Hashim Leghari got 16 votes. During the election process, the legal community of Umerkot showed great interest, while the excitement regarding the election was visible throughout the day in the premises of the District Court.
